Santerre

From art school reject to exposing under the Louvre Pyramid, Santerre’s journey to becoming one of Canada’s most exciting neo-surrealist artists is as colorful and unexpected as his paintings.

Santerre paintings have been exposed at the Vatican, Paris, Florence, Miami, Cannes, Ireland, Belgium and of course all around Canada.

His award-winning Dali hommage has been exposed at Quebec City's Chateau Frontenac and his Cartier graces the bottles of the award-winning "Romeo's Gin", a partnership that has grown to include spin-offs, charitable events and limited editions, including a UK-exclusive edition - as well as fueling many of the artist’s famous over-the-top private parties. Santerre’s Poseidon was one of the murals in Romeo's museum; a 24-floor urban art museum, the first of its kind in Canada. Named by the Jazz festival to be the official Artist of the 1st Verdun Edition.

In 2025 santerre got his 1st  European solo exhibition in Zug Switzerland.

The Montreal-based "bon vivant" artist infuses his work with a modern, playful, childlike façade which hides a somewhat satirical, darker perspective, hidden throughout the 2nd and 3rd degree images and cultural references that pepper every work of art. A wink in the picture, a story in a glimpse, an icon in the image.
